Mercury

The Mercury interactive engine provides extensible APIs for multi-vendor equipment. BSS/OSS developers can leverage the APIs to reduce development time and improve the reliability of their applications. Using J2EE and Oracle databases, the Mercury API can be seamlessly upgraded to handle the latest version of vendor OS.

Mercury Architecture

Fice has developed standard JAVA domain network objects that are available to developers of network applications. A subset of these objects are shown below:

Developers can concentrate on perfecting the business logic tier with the knowledge that the API to the device layer has been developed and fully tested. Each release of supported vendor OS software is subject to interoperability tests. Any changes to the route object, such additional attributes are documented with each release. Customers can download the relevant vendor OS API from the Fice support page.

The APIs are released in a two stage process. The first stage code release is known as the First API Release (FAR), the API is considered in Beta phase and has undergone basic testing. The second stage release is known as the General API Release (GAR).
